“Hello, welcome to worship, its good to see you.”  As you are welcomed, you may feel a little nervous, but we hope you will soon feel comfortable as you enter the building at DEBC.  You will be given a song book (we use Mission Praise and Songs of Fellowship) and a bible to use.  Although first impressions may be of a very traditional church, you will soon learn that we are a relaxed and friendly fellowship.

 

During the service, which normally lasts an hour, we will sing songs, read from the bible, pray and listen to the preacher.  Above all, we are there to worship our Lord and hear His word preached.  Don’t worry if you aren’t sure what’s coming next - most things are announced or just follow someone else!

 

If you want to follow the readings in your bible, the page number is normally announced.  If not, there is a helpful index to the chapters at the front of the bible.

 

At the moment we don’t have any children attending on Sundays, but look forward to the day when we can re-start our Sunday School.  Please feel free to bring children with you - we don’t mind a little noise from young people!  Youth groups for teenagers continue during the week.

 

After the morning service there is always a cup of tea or coffee and a chance to catch up with others.
